Kinetic is a licensed vehicle appraiser, and every appraisal is documented to the manufacturer-procedure and evidence standards insurers work from—several are integrated with us directly. Your claim starts with a record built to move, not one that has to be argued.

Who should get a Kinetic Digital Appraisal?
Anyone whose vehicle has been damaged in a collision, a minor accident, theft, or vandalism, and who wants an objective picture of the damage before choosing a repair facility. It is especially useful for vehicles built after roughly 2018, which typically carry cameras, radar, and driver-assistance systems.
Does my vehicle need to be drivable?
Yes. The current appraisal service is for drivable vehicles that you can bring to us. If your vehicle is not drivable, contact us and we will tell you what options exist.
How long does the appraisal take?
Your visit takes no more than 20 minutes, and usually about 10.
How much does the service cost?
Nothing. The Kinetic Digital Appraisal is provided at no cost to the vehicle owner — Kinetic is paid by insurers and repair facilities for its services. There is no charge to you and no repair commitment attached to the appraisal.

What will I receive?
An itemized damage appraisal, high-resolution images of the vehicle, a 3D record where applicable, manufacturer-informed repair requirements, any identified programming and calibration operations, and a shareable digital record you can send to your insurer or repair facility.
Can I take the appraisal to any body shop?
Yes. The appraisal and the vehicle record are yours. You can take them to any repair facility you choose, and you are never obligated to use a shop Kinetic suggests.
Does Kinetic repair the collision damage?
No. Kinetic is not a body shop. We perform the appraisal and the diagnostics. Collision body repairs are completed by the repair facility you select. After that work is finished, Kinetic can perform or coordinate the required sensor programming, calibration, and post-repair validation as a separate service.
Will my insurance company accept the estimate?
In most cases, yes. Kinetic is a licensed vehicle appraiser, and our appraisals are written to the documentation and manufacturer-procedure standards carriers expect — we are already integrated directly with several insurers. Coverage and payment decisions still rest with your carrier under the terms of your policy, but you are giving them a documented, evidence-backed estimate rather than an unsupported one.
Will getting a Kinetic estimate make my insurance premium go up?
No. Coming to Kinetic will not cause your premium to increase. Your insurer already has your claim, and choosing Kinetic to inspect your vehicle or prepare the initial estimate does not change how your insurer determines your premium.
Does Kinetic have a license to operate?
Kinetic is a licensed independent vehicle appraiser in states that require it by law.
Does the appraisal include ADAS calibration?
The appraisal identifies the cameras, radar, and sensors involved and the programming or calibration operations the repair is likely to require. Performing that calibration is a separate service, carried out after body repairs are complete — by Kinetic or by a provider we coordinate with, if you ask us to.
What if additional damage is found during repair?
It can happen. Some conditions are only visible once a repair facility begins teardown. A digital appraisal is designed to move more of that discovery to the beginning, but it does not replace teardown, and a supplement may still be needed. If new damage appears, the repair facility documents it and works with your insurer.
